500X330_PreLaw2Your pre-law journey at the 小黄书. Thomas begins in your first year by talking to your academic advisor about your interest in law and meeting with a pre-law advisor. All students in the program will declare a major, take pre-law courses, and participate in the 小黄书core curriculum.

Pre-law advisors not only lend support to students during the course of the program, but they will also assist students in preparing for the law school application process and applying to law schools.
Mock Trial Program

小黄书. Thomas - Houston Mock Trial teamThe 小黄书Mock Trial program gives students hands-on experience in the advocacy work of attorneys, in understanding the judicial system, enhancing critical thinking skills, and refining oral communication competencies by participating in American Mock Trial Association tournaments.

Pre-law students enroll in the Mock Trial course for the fall semester to learn techniques, procedures, and information necessary to compete in mock trial tournaments. Each team of six students or more will have the guidance and assistance of a local attorney. During February, the teams will compete in regional tournaments. The top regional teams compete nationally in Opening Round Championship tournaments. Winners go to national finals.
